Adventures in Striped Turtle Neck Dresses

Happy Wednesdays everyone!!
You know that feeling where you think it's close to the weekend and you start jumping for joy only to find it's just Wednesday...Wednesday...its like another Tuesday..I mean why Wednesday?!?!?!?! Well anyways, that's me right now. It's almost the end of another semester and I can't understand why school seems so exciting when going back, but becomes a drag towards the middle of it. You'd think I'd get used to this feeling haha (Mind the endless random rants of a 21 year old college student.)
Lets just focus on this lovely striped turtle neck dress from Sugarlips! Again - my love/obsession for back details - this dress just became perfection for me with its little "sneak peak" of a back! Its like that expression of business in the front and party in the back expression ahaha I can't believe I used that connection o.O but I'm sure you all understood me..yes? maybe? no?

Be back soon!

With love,
Heliely

Quilts, Lace, & Pleather Tops

I took a week break from posting up photos and now I'm back! So hopefully you didn't miss me too much, maybe? I'm a bit sore from my hike last Saturday with a few of my youth, and CCBC (as well as my sister and my cousin MJ) at Cedar Creek Falls near Julian (I sadly missed the opportunity in grabbing a bite of that yummy authentic Julian dutch apple pie...crying inside*) and although it was such a great experience, I'm glad I'm back home safe and sound in my comfy bed resting hehe

For this outfit, Mustard Cartel surprised me with this beautiful pleather peplum top that not only creates volume but also length at the back. I had fun twirling in it and combining it with lots of textures - Quilted Blazer and Lace/Crochet skirt, although its a combination of edgy and soft, I think it suited well with each other.

If you haven't already checked out Mustard Cartel the link is here!

"LOVE CAME DOWN"

I was in the process of doing some homework, but I've become distracted with the computer and it's rather sad how I've been a tad bit if not overly dependent on this social networking tool called the internet. I try very hard to avoid plopping down on my comfy bed and turning on this little habit of a thing, but I always find myself clicking away on my keyboard. What has this generation come to?!?!?
Anyways, I should continue my homework right now before I also find myself regretting the fact that I've procrastinated once again....Talk to you all soon!!

Much Love,
Heliely

p.s. Mind the rather large bruise above my knee...I found that a day or two after my half marathon, and I still question where it came from til this day...

Leopard Prints & Lace dresses

I've discovered that I have a love for all things "gypsy-like" although this dress isn't as gypsy-like as I want it to be the sleeves come a tinge little close to it. I just love flappy sleeves in dresses as well as the touch of lace here and there.

I seem to always find myself glancing at my closet and shaking my head as I have done so many times since I have so much, yet still I am sadly not satisfied. The contents in my closet range from boxes of shoes and stacks of knit sweaters, tops, dress, jackets, blazers of all kinds - you'd think I'd stop - but the want for more goes on....I guess human nature will never be satisfied with what we have right in front of us. God is amazingly good, why? Because He honestly gave us more than enough.

On a lighter note, these photos were also taken by my little sister haha I had to use a stand since she believes my Nikon d5000 is too heavy for her petite hands. Oh! and as you can see I've been having a great dose of fun mixing and matching with these Leopard print heels from Zara! I was jumping for ecstatic, over-flowing joy when I finally received the shipment from Zara (and slightly guilty - less monies in my pocket)! I felt like a kid again arriving home with stacks and stacks of twix and kit-kat bars ready for me to pounce on them...I sound like a a crazy lunatic, maybe the word "pounce" isn't the right word but oh well. As of right now I'm in no right mind to pry my head open for decent vocabulary words, maybe I should go back to sleep...

Goodmorning...and goodnight?
Much love, Heliely

HELLO GREEEEN!

So lately I've been having a slightly, maybe serious, obsession with animal prints and plaid - although I'm waiting desperately for my plaid blazer from Choies to come in - gaah I seriously cannot help myself if I have an eye, hand, even finger on one...someone help me?!?
Well anyways I was wearing these lovely snake skin sneakers from H&M earlier today before I switched for some Zara heels. Why? Because earlier today I was not in the mood to walk around (fast walk) in heels to school since I've been a tardy delinquent lately (far from a delinquent but in my dictionary tardiness is a serious crime haha). Its in those desperate moments that I wish someone invented some kind of teleporting machine, or some invisible cloak so I'd avoid some prying eyes when walking to an already settled classroom.
I did say I'd find my chances in snapping a few photos so heres one for today! I want to thank my little sister for being my photographer for the day hehe she's such a cutie, can't thank her enough for being so patient with not only the camera but me as well (since I am a tiny bit picky with photos haha).
What do you guys think? Great photos from a 11 year old right?

BLACKS AND WHITES

Untitled

I've always been into black, and although I have been trying so hard to avoid my fingers from touching them I just can't stay away. Most especially when it comes to lace, leather, and quilted designs such as this skirt...seriously if my pockets weren't so empty I would be buying that skirt already haha I don't know about you guys but white and black just go so well together and I its my go-to when I can't seem to find the energy to put an outfit together.
