STAND FOR SOMETHING

I believe that the hardest thing in life is figuring out your lifetime goal.

Seeking - in the midst of all the calamity that every day life could offer -

pushing, and pulling, to find something to confidently stand for...

isnt as "easy-peasy lemon-squeezy" as we think it is, but awesome and actually life changing..

Because I mean what's life if you live for nothing right?

Wether it be to obtain a higher education, job,personal goals,

providing for yourself or your family, becoming an example,

making an impact in your school or community, whatever it could possibly be...

maybe even standing for self respect & self-confidence..

Just stand for something.

Although it may be silly, but I believe that we can all stand for this one thing..

something that might seem easy but actually quiet a challenge.

LOVE.

Because it seems so small, so insignificant at the moment,

but can impact a person's life in so many ways.

There is not one person out there who is exactly the same.

But we all love to be loved.

As babies we NEED it.

As kids we SEEK it.

As teenagers we try and UNDERSTAND it.

As adults we LEARN from it.

and its crazy but, as humans we are the only ones who have the capacity to GIVE it.

Standing for something isnt just something you say.

It's something you live by, act upon, and challenge yourself to be an example of.

That's what I stand for.

So, last week California had a random weather change and although it was a week of happiness, sadly to say it's become warm all over again...(ahhhh). On a good note though, I took advantage of the chilly weather and wore out this over-sized coat (yes my love for over-sized things is forever and beyond eternity)which kept me ooh so very warm!

IT'S RAINING! IT'S RAINING! IT'S FINALLY RAINING!!!

I'm one of those girls that get into high spirits when sweater weather comes dashing in, and the cool breeze meets my overly excited face as I step outside my door! Gahhh if only more days like these come much more often than Santa Ana winds ahaha but hey, for today i'm a happy duck.

So here's the outfit I wore earlier today, kept switching back from having pants and being pantless (not to worry I just wore pants under the dress ahaha) but during this time I just settled to keeping the dress on its own. This over-sized coat from Cotton-on helped a bunch load in keeping me warm. $15 sale SO worth it! ahaha OH! and not to mention, thank you to Furor Moda for this lovely turtle neck dress! hehe I've always had a thing for turtle necks when I was younger and my boyfriend used to laugh at me for it even to this day it remains in his memories haha...I was ahead - somewhat - of my time ok??
Anyways, I hope you're all enjoying the weather in Cali because I AM!!

Adventures in Striped Turtle Neck Dresses

Happy Wednesdays everyone!!
You know that feeling where you think it's close to the weekend and you start jumping for joy only to find it's just Wednesday...Wednesday...its like another Tuesday..I mean why Wednesday?!?!?!?! Well anyways, that's me right now. It's almost the end of another semester and I can't understand why school seems so exciting when going back, but becomes a drag towards the middle of it. You'd think I'd get used to this feeling haha (Mind the endless random rants of a 21 year old college student.)
Lets just focus on this lovely striped turtle neck dress from Sugarlips! Again - my love/obsession for back details - this dress just became perfection for me with its little "sneak peak" of a back! Its like that expression of business in the front and party in the back expression ahaha I can't believe I used that connection o.O but I'm sure you all understood me..yes? maybe? no?

Blacks & Grays in Rainy Days

In love with this maxi skirt from Sugarlips Apparel, once again making such a huge impression on me.I wasn't really into maxi skirts - or long skirts for that matter - but after trying this one out and pairing it with a nice top (from Naked Zebra - site here -), it made me change my mind on a few things haha like how I should really cut the hanger straps on tops and that I should listen to the weather forecasts -___-" To think I'd just give the gloomy weather a shrug and an "oh well" and just wear a skirt anyways...in the end it rained annnddd...you can think of the rest from there.

Geometric Dresses + Bowler Hats

Hey everyone!! I know I know, long and overdue outfit update. It took a while, but here it is! This amazing geometric dress was from Sheinside.com, if you all haven't heard about them check out their site here! I was jumping for joy when I was contacted to collaborate with them because I've always loved their clothes!
Working with online stores - still to this day - seems so surreal to me, I am more than blessed and thankful to be working with each one of them. I truly couldn't have asked for more. Praise God!! haha
Well, I hope you all are doing fine and dandy, my weeks consisted of stress and just loads and loads of problem solving. I guess you can say it was a life changing one, there's a lot of growing up and a lot of responsibility that came out of these past few weeks and although I felt like giving up on a lot of things, God kept me through each and every one of my struggles. I have more than enough, and every single experience has taught me to let go of my pride, give everything to God, and just have faith. I think the hardest thing is to let go, because once we let go, we find ourselves scared out of our minds that we aren't in control...but that's how God works - and let me tell you its amazing.
Just let go and let God.

Tribal Prints

I'm not so much of a tribal print person, but when I saw the details at the back it was a keeper haha I loved the way the cardigan shortened at the back (creating somewhat of an angle when seen in side view) and the zippers that give it a little extra details - not to mention the pleather shoulder strips! All in all it was perfect and a great light-weight cardi for the warmer weathers.
